1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Cnnex Limited Company handles information when you use PassSnap, including the iOS app, website, local export features, optional iCloud backup, purchase recovery, optional AI final verify, and optional AI beauty files.
PassSnap is designed so the basic capture, crop, preview, local checks, package preparation, and history workflow can run on your device. Optional AI final verify and optional AI beauty require explicit upload consent. Optional iCloud backup uses your private iCloud Drive container.
2. Information We May Collect
- Photos, thumbnails, derived crops, print layouts, and print instruction files if you choose optional AI final verify, optional AI beauty, iCloud backup, or another cloud feature.
- Photo metadata needed to prepare a package or process a verify or enhancement job, such as selected spec id, country or region, background mode, app version, local check results, job id, and print metadata.
- Anonymous account, package, recovery code, StoreKit transaction, credit, entitlement, and AI run data needed to unlock paid features and restore purchase history.
- iCloud backup metadata when you choose to back up package files to your private iCloud Drive container.
- Support messages and contact information if you contact us.
- Website analytics such as page views, referral pages, device type, and approximate region.
3. Local Processing
The core iOS workflow is intended to process capture guidance, country-specific crop preview, local checks, background selection, print-layout generation, print instructions, and local history on your device where possible.
Using the basic app workflow does not automatically upload your photo to PassSnap servers. Saving or sharing photos may use iOS Photos, Files, or share-sheet features that you choose.
4. Optional iCloud Backup And Recovery Code
If you choose iCloud backup, PassSnap may copy saved package files, metadata, thumbnails, processed photos, print layouts, print instruction PDFs, optional enhanced files, and your recovery code into your private iCloud Drive container.
iCloud backup is provided by Apple under the Apple ID signed in on the device. PassSnap does not use iCloud backup files for AI analysis, advertising, or model training.
The recovery code can be copied by you and may also be included in iCloud backup so purchase history can be restored more smoothly after reinstalling or changing phones. Backend purchase recovery restores entitlements and AI reports for matching package records; iCloud backup restores photo files.
5. Optional AI Final Verify And AI Beauty
If you choose AI final verify, the app may upload the processed image, original crop, selected spec, local check summary, and consent record to PassSnap backend systems.
AI verify may use third-party AI providers to analyze country-specific glasses or lens rules, expression, ear or facial-edge visibility, crop risk, background artifacts, size, and print metadata.
If you choose AI beauty, the app may upload the processed image and consent record to create a separate enhanced single photo. The app then prepares the matching enhanced print layout. AI beauty does not replace original or AI white-background package files.
AI verify and AI beauty are optional and separate from the basic download flow. AI beauty save and share are available only through the unlocked package download flow.
6. How We Use Information
- To provide capture, country selection, export, local history, iCloud backup, purchase recovery, optional AI verify, and optional AI beauty features.
- To generate structured verify reports, user-facing risk guidance, and separate enhanced outputs requested by the user.
- To process purchases, credits, refunds, support requests, and service messages.
- To improve reliability, security, abuse prevention, and product quality.
- To understand website performance and landing-page conversion.
7. Retention And Deletion
Photos uploaded for optional AI verify or AI beauty should be kept only for the retention window shown during consent, with a default target of 7 days or less unless a longer period is required for support, legal, security, payment, or abuse-prevention reasons.
You may request deletion of eligible uploaded AI assets. Operational logs, purchase records, entitlement records, and support records may be retained longer when needed for fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or service recovery.
8. Sharing
We may share data with service providers that help operate PassSnap, such as cloud hosting, object storage, AI model providers, analytics providers, Apple StoreKit and Apple iCloud services, payment processors, and customer support tools.
We do not sell your face photos. We require AI processing providers used for verify or enhancement to follow the data-use restrictions shown in the consent flow. We do not use uploaded face photos for advertising tracking.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards for the service, including private storage for uploaded verify assets, short-lived upload links, and access controls.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
PassSnap is not intended for children under 13. Passport or ID photos for minors should be managed by a parent or legal guardian.
11. Your Choices
- You can use the base local workflow without choosing optional AI verify or AI beauty.
- You can decline upload consent for AI verify or AI beauty.
- You can choose whether to use iCloud backup. If you do not enable it, deleting the app may remove local photo package files from the device.
- You can copy your recovery code and use it to restore backend purchase history for matching package records.
- You can request deletion of eligible uploaded AI assets.
- You can contact support about access, deletion, correction, or privacy questions.
